Venue Basics for Interested Musicians
Our format is flexible, but
generally consists of two one hour sets with a half hour break between the
sets.
Music
starts at 7:30 pm on Saturday nights and the night winds down around 10 pm
(give or take), but the building is usually open from 5 pm so access for
early set up is available, and we can arrange to be here earlier if there is
a need to do so. Saturday is currently the only night that we are open
for music, but we are discussing doing monthly 'youth oriented' performances
on Friday nights...nothing in concrete on that at this point.
There is an 8
track/channel (?) sound system available, so if you are a single that
doesn't require more than that you won't need to bring your own sound
equipment if you prefer not to. (Gee, didn't 8 tracks go out in the 80s? and
'channel' is one of those 'red alert' catchwords in the Christian
vernacular...so maybe I'm not getting the terminology right). We do
accommodate the use of tape or cd backup if that is the format you use.
Ok, I'm the computer geek and NOT the sound tech dude, but I can get any
other specifics you need to know if you contact me :-)
Funding is on a donation
basis here and we do not have a large budget for the musical guests, but we
will be glad to discuss your needs if you are interested in playing at the
coffeehouse.
It is
acceptable to bring your cds or books, etc. to offer for sale.
Dates that have been
scheduled are already up on the Music Schedule page, so if you are
interested in booking a date, just check that page. Anything that is
not shown with a group listing is open. I fill the dates in usually
within a day or two of confirming them, so the schedule page will be quite
accurate.
See contact page if you need
further information or would like to request a time to visit and share your
gift with us.
